The Wild Places Conservation Trust was established to increase the conservation of Uganda’s remaining unspoiled areas. Pressures from increasing populations in surrounding communities are threatening the survival of Uganda’s wildlife and the diverse habitats in which they live. Now is the time to begin working with those communities to establish cooperation and a mutual appreciation for the preservation of valuable ecosystems before they are destroyed beyond repair.
The Wild Places Conservation Trust oversees various projects in the remotest areas of Uganda to stem the degradation of wildlife habitats and improve the protection and sustainable use of valuable natural resources in those areas. Together in partnership with local stakeholders, the Trust aims to bring conservation officials and community members together to establish a mutually beneficial partnership in which both the natural environment and local communities can prosper.
